I meant, that some people always want the absolute "best" weapon in such a class (although the M21 isn't a sniper rifle, its a DMR).

To the majority, it seems that "best " is usually the most stopping power.

I still don't understand the American obsession with firearms but perhaps that comes from growing up gun free in the UK.


There's just something about pouring hot lead downrange that turns me on... ;D

True, it's not the most powerfull, or has the longest range, but I would enjoy having an M-14 based precision rifle. Unfortunately, they're a bit pricey...

In fact, our Navy EOD carried an EBR rifle similar to this one...

Nice looking piece there Andrew.
As for the crack/thump, unless you are using sub-sonic ammo such as that used in the Welrod silenced pistol then the bullet will hit you before you hear it ;)
