I'm happy you all like my plane so much. I was a jet engine mechaninc in the USAF on these fantastic aircraft. They really do fly like a fighter when they aren't loaded down. We had the test bed AC in the early 90s then went on to have the first fully operational squadron at Charelston AFB. At that time they phased out all of our C-141 birds (where I first started work on their TF-33 engines and thrust reversers) and moved me over to the PW117-100 engine shop putting them (the engines) together from the factory and installing the QEC kits on them. When I finally moved to the flight line I was on the graveyard shift. Oh the problems we had with the engine stands when they first arrived!! Funny now looking back. The radio frequencys in the engine stand were the same (most of the frequencys) as the security police freqs that ran up and down the flightline. We would be in the middle of either a drop or a replacement when they would roll by and get on their radios to check in or what have you and the stand would respond to them by moving up,down, sideways, etc. It used to freak us out. Lots of money on that stand. Oh the stories I could spin about my time with this AC. Great pics mate! Thanks for the memories! ;)

BTW I have the payware C-17 with the T38 package and it really isn't all that great. The VC is horrible in my opinion (as I obviously have seen them first hand) And I almost imediately changed the engine sounds. I wish there was a better one out there :(
