I see what you mean by that. I guess my problem would be that I have the attention span of a gnat and would just move on to another project, leaving a big hunk of metal sitting beside me here in my basement.** :P

To be honest, I'd rather just spend the approx. $400 and go for one of these babys;

Yeah, I know... but that sim cockpit system is just $50 worth of melanine and cheap steel; very simple to make yourself- and I bet assembling that overpriced thingy would be nearly as frustrating and time-consuming as making one from scratch.
Especially if you have the attention span of a gnat. :D

Probably could get similar results and durability using PVC pipe instead of steel.
And the fumes from that cement.... aaaaahhhh... the colors... ;D
