What I ment was, it was a 51 sqd aircraft and in total only three were "fitted out" for 51 use, so my father tells me. He was an "AEop" on 51 for many moons a long time ago.

What I meant was it was one of three R1 Nimrod, and still (sort of is). After the accident one of the MR2s in storage was converted to be the third operational R1 to replace it... So, in a way, there are now four! ;D

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
