Nice Catalina.....too bad you couldn't get closer........
........we have two of them down island at Nanaimo/Collishaw airport........both yellow like your shot here ...........

Ah, I did get closer & I've also posted shots of it here before. It's actually an ex-Canadian Canso (C-FNJF) water bomber & is still in it's orginal markings. http://catalinabookings.org/aircraft.asp It was with Catalina Aero Services at Vancouver Island for a while so it's possible you've seen it. I heard they were going to repaint it in RAF colours for this season but they don't seem to have got round to it yet.

I can post a few more photos but we seem to be overloaded with Duxford shots right now.

You're very kind Roger but I don't want to hog things & my shots didn't come out as well as I hoped. I might post a few more but after seeing yours & F3Hadlow's I might forget photography & take up knitting. ::) ;)

I can just imagine it Doug, sitting in the car at Old Warden watching the aeroplanes go by as you knit! ;D

Well mine are no better than the pics I took with my old camera, just a bit closer thanks to the lens (it's my video stuff that came out really well) and F3's stuff is quite stunning but he is a propper picture taker and no doubt has over

That last shot is simply incredible, Doug.  That may be the coolest shot you have ever posted and that's saying a lot!  :)

Ditto the above comments- that last one is almost ridiculous, the way it all came together! Looks like you're having a damn good season so far... ;D
