All those different names for what is basically the same aircraft. A sign of the times I'm afraid. The De Havilland Aircraft Company was born when Sir Geoffrey de Havilland took over the Aircraft Manufacturing Company (Airco) at the end of WWI & renamed it in 1920. He was previously Airco's chief designer & responsible for such classic WWI aircraft as the DH.4. This famous company was absorbed by Hawker Siddeley Aviation in 1960 when the British aircraft industry was consolidated into 3 major companies.
