We ran into a black bear early in the trip, but of course we didn't have the camera with us, after that it was attached to me for the rest of the trip.

I Love the Pocono's!!!!!

What part of it did you go camping?  I belonged to a Hunting Lodge in Pike County about five miles below Promise Land Lake which was about 15 miles below Lake Wallenpaupack.

Oh, by the way great shots!!!

Yeah the water is kinda weird at first, then the guys were too busy catching frogs and crayfish. Later today we were looking for some plant fossils, nothing really to write home about this time, but they had a blast.

The funniest thing was when the kids finally got a look at the night sky, my nephew is over in Wilmington and never seen the milky way, and of course my son is 4 and everything is new and exciting still. :o :o ;D

The view of the sky at night up there is wonderful!!

The hunting lodge is right on Rt.390 and we use to walk down to Al's Alpine Tavern to get refreshments!! ;)
It would be so dark coming back you could not see your hand in front of your face!! Pretty Spooky!!

But the stars in the sky were amazing!!

We use to water ourselves at Yegermeisters, I think it is in Scotrun, had some good times there! And of course the old standby The Promised Land Inn.

Good thing about hiking out there is you will always run into a road at some point. I grew up i Philly but at 6 I was roaming the woods of Promised Land all the time. When I was older I had my buddies from the city come up from time to time and they would freak out, thinking they were gonna die in the woods ;D Are we lost? ;D Do you now where you are going? ;D ;D ;D  Once and awhile I would be hopelessly lost, but always found my way back. ;)

Well the thing is, they relied too much on my dad's GPS than good old common sense. :P
