1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Fantastic shots of Orion, the nebula is quite apparent in Orions sword. (second spot up in the tail of the kite).......Nice Job.

I spot Orion's Belt!

Any luck with photographing the Aurora Borealis, Matt?

It may still be visible from Northern Germany?

Thanks guys, it was a small test drive of a lens that my dad gave to me. As for the Aurora Borealis, not this time. The Northern sky had a slight red hue to it, but all attempts to photograph it, the picture just looked overexposed and no amount of colour correction could produce a satisfactory picture. The last event, some seven or eight years ago, the sky was blood red at night even here in Germany. Next time maybe.

It was Hamburg International, that went bust and became Hamburg Airways. Now it is awaiting a new leaser. It went to C check the morning after the pictures were taken and will then get a repaint I believe.

Frankly I can spot NOTHING In the stars :-[.
So I leave it alone for those who can ;).
I love the first shot 8-)

Not bad at all.
You should have a crack at Venus, while it is still visible, fairly high, at sunset. I was looking at it a couple nights ago with binoculars, right near a perfect crescent Moon.
