Thanks guys, it was a small test drive of a lens that my dad gave to me. As for the Aurora Borealis, not this time. The Northern sky had a slight red hue to it, but all attempts to photograph it, the picture just looked overexposed and no amount of colour correction could produce a satisfactory picture. The last event, some seven or eight years ago, the sky was blood red at night even here in Germany. Next time maybe.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
