Float planes! (part 2)

Postby TacitBlue » Tue Apr 19, 2011 8:26 pm

Part 2 commences:

Image
Taken in '10. Belite ultralight, I don't know the specific model. They are a neat little tube-and-rag ultralight that uses a single cylinder two-stroke engine.

Image
I believe that this is a Pitts S-2, on floats no less. A biplane on floats, that's just something that you don't see everyday.

Image
Taken in '10. This is an Icon A-5. It's an all composite amphibian.

Image
Another shot of the A-5. I just thought that this one turned out nice because of the way that the plane is in focus but the tree branches in front are blurred.

Image
The A-5 again. In this shot you get a better sense of what it looks like. I included three pictures of the A-5 because I just think that it's a neat looking airplane.

Well, that was the best of my float plane pictures. I hope you all enjoyed them. :)

The "Pitts" is actually a Micro Mong.

Very, very nice. The first shot of the Icon is, for lack of a better word, perfect. Thanks for sharing. :)

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Shows what I know about bi-planes. ;)

Thanks for that info though. :)
