4N1 airshow- pt 1

Postby beaky » Sun Sep 27, 2009 7:36 pm

Went to a pretty cool little airshow at Greenwood Lake yesterday. Took a lot of pics... not many good in-flight ones, but who cares?

The MAAM C47 Second Chance... queen of the ramp, but definitely not a "ramp queen".

A very pretty C-45H.

...and Aeronca L-3.

Very spiffy military "Mixmaster", complete with rocket racks.

Always love the atomsphere at the smaller airshows, make's you appreciate aviation just that little bit more. And great shots Sean, looking forward to seeing more. 8-)

That's my type of show. Looks like you had good weather for it too. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Initially, yes... but it got overcast and kinda chilly.

Naturally, there was almost no light to speak of for the flying portion of the show.  ::)
I tried to bring back the sun for the show by leaving early, but even that didn't work.  ;D

The L3 & L4 Sean, I wonder if they both could carry a stretcher, my mind is blank at the moment on that one.

[color=#000000]Considering the main use of the L-4, the name on the cowling is a very clever double entendre

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
