Lake Tahoe is just over them thar Hills...an 8,000+ Feet ASL climb to clear the snow!...!

Any chance that is the caldera in the Jemez mountains in New Mexico?

Looks very similar to what I saw when i was hanging out the door of a pave hawk a few weeks ago...

Nope, it is definately a caldera judging by the terrain, but this is in northern California/western Nevada, no where near New Mexico   ;)
