lol.. its wood. i thought the same to push out of shallow water. but must planes would have an oar.

There is also an oar, in a special holder on the same float. The big stick is clearly an anti-bear device. ;D

Good morning folks... :)

No I don't think float planes, flying boats or seaplanes carry an "oar" which usually come in a pair for rowing (row...Propel with oars).

All amphibians and float planes, seaplanes and flying boats must have at least one paddle which is usually fixed to the right side of the port float for easy access for the pilot.
