Yeah I heard about that, it was a toss up between OW and the first Victor flight in 15 years, but I thought "four engined jet, big deal, I can go to any airport for that"  ;)

What is happening with the Spitfire V at OW? Has she had the new engine fitted?

Don't despair. A close look will reveal the standard of the work which is why it's taking as long as it is. A proper on off restoration as opposed to the "factory" at Duxford. ;)
