Thanks Doug, they're new to me too, beautiful creatures aren't they?

We have a little Goldcrest which hops about from time to time. I'd love to get a shot of him but he's not bold enough to come up to the feeders at the window, and is a very infrequent visitor.

Ever seen a Waxwing? We had a visit from 10 of these pretty little birds in a Rowan tree just down the road. Unfortunately every time they appeared the sun went in. This is about the best shot I got.

Hey Doug, that's a stunner  8-)

I've not seen a waxwing, although I hear that there have been quite a few around this last year, and some were seen in Ellesmere just up the road from us.

I've seen some cracking shots of them and would love to get some myself. Opportunities for photography though seem to be limited to staring out of my kitchen window at the moment  ::)

Really lovely shot Doug, well done,

Steve

I love bird threads, such terrific animals...sometimes I'm tempted to move them to the "Real Aviation" forums

Are you a bird-watcher, Hagar? I am. I like 'em about 5-foot-three, 103 pounds, blonde and 20 years old-- from Ukraine...

Indeed I am. I like them all from wherever in the world they come from. At my age you can't be choosy. 8-)
