Random Macros!

Postby Cobra » Mon Jan 12, 2009 1:31 pm

Had a little play with the camera today, first time i've ever tried to do anysort of macro stuff + lots of playing with lighting!

Any tips appreciated as im clueless! :) Also, i'm using a 400d and have real issues with the flash always wanting to fire off when taking darker shots, which i don't like, whatever mode/setup im using. Is there an overide button or something??

With the 400D on the Main dial, if you shoot in the automatic modes, the flash will pop up if the camera senses it needs light, you can stop the flash if you choose the last mode, it is called flash off mode. Also the flash will not pop up if you are shooting in Tv,  Av, M or P. Does that help! Mark

Thanks guys :) Been doing a little more playing and getting far better results so will post some more in a bit! Been trying to get some water shots but don't have any powerful enough lights to get any good results :(

Ahh cheers Roughrider, that makes sense! I was using Macro mode which it also pops up for, but it seems better to just use fully manual!  :)
