Show and tell time again

Postby expat » Tue Dec 09, 2008 5:01 am

We had to change all the gear on a 737-300 last/this week. Not a bad job. First time for me, well all of us except one guy. Interesting job. Unfortunately I did not get to complete it. The staging in the background of the last picture...........well I was removing the uplock box, stepped back for a bit of light and a better view...........and stepped right off the staging and landed directly on the axle. After that I was written of work and have been since. Back on Thursday though. My back was blue from under my shoulder to my hip. Nothing broken, just my pride :-[

Anyway, here are a few pictures. We have another two aircraft to do in the coming months so I may be able to post a few gear swings and completed job but still on jacks. Sorry about the blanked out faces but we have a strict company policy about posting pictures of employees.

Matt

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.
