Oshkosh '08: part 4

Postby beaky » Sun Aug 03, 2008 10:56 am

Well, I did immediately go to the flight line and took a few pics, which we'll see later... but I decided to head back to "the North 40" for a while to see what I could do with the late-day light and some of the arriving aircraft.

Here's a partial overview of the camping area... pretty good turn-out on Wednesday.

Got myself situated by the perimeter of 27, and got some decent taxi shots. This very nice Tiger caught my eye...

A late-model Aztec.

Another Cherokee Six- eh, big deal, I flew in on one... ;D... but look! a perfect prop disc!! ;D

A nice understated paint job on this 170.

We all met up at Friar Tuck's near the north edge of the field for dinner, then I withdrew to my tent for a little rest. Hooboy! What a day!

We rallied again at sundown for another peek at some warbirds... this shot came out great with the flash and the fading sunlight...

Love the last shot, and love the story, makes me feel like I went, even though I couldn't go.  :'( Mark
