The Harriers like me again!

Postby Mictheslik » Fri Jul 04, 2008 4:45 pm

Yeovilton - former home of the SHAR, produced one of the most gorgeous aircraft this afternoon....:) The QinetiQ VAAC harrier! after arriving he did a few circuits and came through for a pass that I'm pretty sure was only just withing the legal speed over land limits....;) (Our ears were ringing for quite a long time afterwards ;) )

I honestly prefer the Harrier GR7 Gr9 and B Models the T10 is ugly i reckon.

Wow awesome shots! Love the 1st one as well.

What is QinetiQ VAAC anyways?
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Yeah...and what do they need a Harrier for?   :D  They must make parts or something huh?

Nice one Mic. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

QinetiQ (pronounced Kinetic) is the new name of the former Defence & Research Agency (DERA)* after it was privatised a few years ago. The less said about that the better.

VAAC stands for Vectored-thrust Aircraft Advanced flight Control. Basically a fly-by-wire Harrier.

*PS. Better known as the world-famous Royal Aircraft Establishment at Farnborough.

Outstanding! This is one cool looking plane when it's shot head-on, while departing straith up...

Less beautiful from every other angle, but hey, it's an icon.

Love the Qinetiq paint-scheme. Nicer than the dull grey RAF ones...

Mic., I was expecting a harrier, not a Harrier. :P

I love the Rasberry Ripple on the T.10, beautiful shots!  :)

Lovely pics, she put on a good show on the day :)

(By the way lads, it's an updated T2, not a T10 ;) :))
