If compression is really affecting the image quality at the maximum allowed image size & resolution there are several options.

1. Reduce the pixel width of the images. They don't have to be the maximum size & very often a smaller image looks sharper & more effective. I keep all my own photos to 800 pixel width.

2. Upload the photos to an image hosting site like Photobucket & post links to them in your topic. These can be any size/resolution you like providing the images themselves are not actually posted in the topic.

3. Same as 2 above but linked using smaller thumbnail images which you upload to the Simviation server in the usual way. Clicking on the thumbnails opens the full-sized images.

dont turn the camera setting down. Leave it as is so you always have the best quality out of the camera.
You can crop out large areas of your pictures that arn't needed that cuts down on image size and file size.
