I spent the day at Shawbury in order to get landing and takeoff shots of the Reds, the display Hawk, the Typhoon and the F3's. In addition we were treated to the Vampire dropping in for fuel, and a diversion from the Seahawk which was an unplanned treat.
One thing which failed to turn up was the Vulcan. The cancellation was fairly well publicised in advance, but one of the guys at the fence was ringing his wife periodically just to make sure that it was safely tucked up in the hangar on the webcam ;D
These guys were kind enough to use the full perimeter track and come and give us a wave 8-). Thanks chaps
