Carolina Raptor Center

If your looking for the F-22 stop here because you won't find it in here. But you will find pictures from my trip to the Carolina Raptor Center (CRC) which is a re-hib center for injured birds of prey or other-wise known as raptors.


A Peregrine Falcon- A beautiful bird sadly it flew into a wire during a dive and lost its left wing.

A Red-tailed Hawk- This bird is huge, and it was shot in its left wing and can't fly.

I read that the Peregrine can dive at up to 200 mph. There are some nesting not far from me right now. Check out the webcam. http://www.regencybrighton.com/birds/

Around me I see a lot of hawks, and eagles, and they now have taken the Peregrine Falcon off the endangered list.

These birds are the ones they use for "show", as the can't survive in the wild, but they have 300 other birds that can the rehabilitated in other parts of the park.

We see quite a few buzzards & red kites around here now. A Golden Eagle has been recently sighted over Bexhill which is a few miles to the east. Not sure where it came from as they're not native to this part of the country.
