A couple from today

Postby Aerophile » Tue Feb 05, 2008 12:19 am

Went up to the FSDO today so a student of mine, and my predecessor, can take his MEI checkride.  While he was out flying I got the chance to take a couple of shots.  Nothing fantastic by any means.  Just a Navy C-40A Clipper and this beaut of a Citation X.  The photo doesn't do it any justice.  It was a rather slow day.

Nice Citation shot! It really shows that good light makes all the difference, compared to the Clipper ( probably movementblur due to a longer exposure time?)

Thanks guys.  The C-40 was backlit from the afternoon sun and I'm afraid there was nothing I could have done about that obviously. Probably could have benefited from a faster shutter speed using shutter priority.  I wish I would have taken the Citation shot with a closer zoom and from the other side.  I used approximately 150mm for the Citation shot.  My point and shoot has a 10X optical zoom, about 380mm equivalent. Oh well, thanks again for the comments. Hopefully I'll get an SLR in the coming months and get some better quality.
