Nice. Good to see a user friendly flight director too!  Very similar to the EFIS one on the B200 (except of course that was digital), and just so easy to use.  

I'm still not a fan of flight directors.. and  the ONLY complaint I had about this plane, was that if the autopilot was on; the FD was on. You could have just the FD on, but no autopilot without the FD (which is kind of counter-intuitive)...

Yep, as strictly is isn't really a standalone autopilot as such, but a FD follower, same as the B200. I've come to love FDs, even the current one which can be an absolute pig (being a 50year old FD!), but on an ILS (or even LLZ or VOR approach) reduces the workload in buckets.

I flew the ILS to 9R and let the autopilot capture and hold it (kinds creepy at first) just for fun. Man.. I could get used to flying aircraft like that Saratoga...

Yeah, clouds are freezing when your in them, when parachuting i skimmed a few clouds that were 1500 feet high, and you could already feel the cold of it at the edges.

No..  I'm a product of UofM and NMU  (Michigan  and Northern Michigan).  

That's the jacket that makes the person wearing it, "genuinely friendly and safe to approach"    :D
