I took this shot, not far from West Bend, before we stopped for fuel (or it might have been just north of West Bend (nice airport))..

I took a lap around Lake Michigan this weekend.. got to go up the Chicago VFR flyway

No, not me.

West bend is a nice little airport, I stopped there a couple of weeks ago.  Friday though, I flew up to Lakeland Airport in northern Wisconsin, added another 3.7 hrs of cross country time, I forgot to grab my camera before I went though.

Sounds like you had a nice flight and I'm looking forward to the rest of the pictures.

Some body tried that once where I went to college.  The surprise didn't last however, as some local pilot got on the radio and announced it to the world before the special flight reached it.
