My friend sent me this picture of our pit orchestra from our school production of "Brigadoon" this spring. I'm in the top left, with a red hoodie on. I thought it was kind of cool, 'cause I've never seen a picture of myself down there.
A safety net?! Cowards!! >:( Half the excitement of playing in the pit is not knowing if some klutzy performer is going to make a faux pas and tumble onto you.
I never played Brigadoon, but I could probably play all the percussion bits from Dames at Sea from memory, even now...
