Good to see Leicestershire Aero Club supporting their local team. All they need now is to buy G-TIGA, and they have a pair (good luck to the Tigers vs Stade Francais tomorrow! :))

Seems you found a nice spot there.

Which camera are you using?

Seeing as they were using a different runway to the usual, I was actually forced to take a worse spot than usual (with the approach facing into the sun). #2 and 3 were taken from the airfield's car park, which was pretty useless for anything but taxying and helicopter shots.

Hopefully next time I'll be back in the right place, with the sun behind me. ;)

As for the camera, I'm using Fujifilm Finepix S5600. I can't expect any more from it, being a non-DSLR, but it gets the job done, and it's good practice for when I somehow come up with the money for one.

They're excellent. In fact I thought you might have treated yourself to a new DSLR.

You might recall that I used an S5000 before getting my 350D. Not a patch on yours but I got some pretty good shots with it.

If I can make people think that, then I know I've done pretty well. ;D

Thanks, anyway. :)

Kept within their limits cameras like the Fuji can definitely produce images not far off DSLRs at all. Tweek has certainly demonstrated that with his shots!

The same thought occurred to me, It's good to be reminded that my 5600 will turn these out if I can get close enough  ;)

Nice shots Tweek
