Trains

Postby ThatOnePerson » Tue Mar 13, 2007 9:47 pm

Don't know if anybody is into model trains but I thought id share part of my collection. They are all O gauge Lionel. Ive actually been collecting since I was 4 so it all goes back a bit. On that one shelf theres a good 5 Grand worth of trains ;D Sorry no layout pics (its MIA) Not the most impressive collection (or most organized) ;) But it does have alot of sentimental value to me

The monopoly set, very rare , I came across it by chance and decided to get it, theres 3 more cars not pictured aswell

I've always wanted to build a model train set but have never found the time or the money.  If I ever do it'll probably be those little bitty ones (N model I think, I have no clue) so that I can make a sizable track in a small space.

Yeah, the small ones are N (1/120).
If you want an even more insanely small size, get a Z (1/200?).

We used to have some TT (1/120) trains, but as I got older no one of us had time for it anymore.

Sad.

Cool. Yesterday I was out walking the dog when the Ringling Bros. Circus train went by on the elevated tracks, on its way to NYC... didn't have my camera, dagnabbit!

It was interesting... but no, the giraffes don't ride with their necks sticking out, and dumbo's mother doesn't have her own car at the end... ;D

It's a huge train, though- they carry everything with them- even trucks and earth-movers.

Maybe I can find out when the train will be headed back out...
