An incredible visitor to Harvey Field !

Postby Boss_BlueAngels » Sun Feb 18, 2007 4:39 am

Finally, something to add some spice to my days at the airport!
The day is always better when you're flying upside down.

Nice one. It's possible you've posted some before but I would be more interested in some close-ups of that Seabee I spotted in the last shot.

Thanks you guys, I'm glad you like the pics!!

And yeah, it certainly isn't the largest helicopter out there, but it is definitely the largest to fly into our little airport.

This bird was on its way from Alaska where it has been doing logging for the past several months.  It stopped in Bellingham, then Harveys (where the pics were taken) and then on down to its home in Medford.  I spoke to the pilots and they said this particular heli's main job is actually logging.  The firefighting thing really doesn't keep it that busy.

And I attached one of the only satisfying pictures of that SeaBee in the background.  I've never seen it actually flown, although I did ride along with the mechanic who ran it up and taxiied it around the airport for the owner.  It's really quite disgusting looking.  lol  Due to weathering and stuff growing on it.
