Counting rivets near KEWR again...

Postby beaky » Sun Feb 11, 2007 3:47 pm

Was out briefly today- thought I'd make a quick detour to my "spot".
No 747 this time... not even after I put the camera away... but the least one is rather interesting...  :-?

Pretty busy while I was there; they were coming in for 22R every 60 seconds for a while there.

Hmmm... I can't place that last one... looks cool though.

A plane every 60 seconds? Talk about a spotters dream...  :)

Didn't you notice the last one has no markings?

No clue. Might have been on a ferry flight; wouldn't surprise me if Continental just bought it and is going to finish it up at Newark.

Last one is SLIVERJET guys, look closely...

Nice catch with that 767-400 too, that one is pretty rare!

LOL- of course it is; I can see the logo there now. Never even heard of Silverjet, which proves I'm no "real" spotter. ;D

But I bagged a 764, so I am redeemed...    ::) :D

You gotta show me that spot some weekend. :)

It's challenging- lots of trees and wires on either side of the road. But it's as close to the north end of the runways as you can get while staying near the centerline...

With a zoom lens , another great spot is the parking lot of the Pathmark. ;D

The last one looks like an A-310.

But who would purchase such an old thing? DHL? Fed-Ex?
