...hmm....just did a quick google search...apperantly, there was another tomcat, with the exact same registration number that crashed in '95. So is this one completely salvaged and what the Black Knights mean by 'having the crappyest fleet?'

No one notices anything out of place on that Tomcat?  It deals with my job, there is a hint.  ;)

Its a F14A model with a LGB on it, which should only be on a F14D?

If so it needs a another aircraft to lase the target so it can deploy the bomb.

Yup that's it...this Tomcat is a "Bombcat" slung with 500 lbs GBU-12's.  I'm sure you guys picked up on that when this pick was first posted but I wanted to see if anyone caught it....everyone ususally just thinks as the Tomcat as a fighter not a bomber.

F-14A's could carry the same load as a D, only two GBU-12's could be carried...and with the LANTIRN pod on the wing root the Bombcat didn't need another aircraft to lase the target though a FAC or another laser equiped plane could.

Anyway, kinda silly but I wanted to see if anyone saw those bombs.  ;D
