My new camera :D

Went out and got my 400D today....and a very nice thing it is!

just a few test pictures, taken with the flash 'cos its dark :)
This camera can do much better than these, but I am still finding out how to do different things :)

Im gonna get used to the camera before spending more money.....but my first lens is probably going to be either

Im still not sure though...and I dont have much money......any advice would be good......im looking for a good airshow lens aswell to buy just before the summer :)

both of those are prettygood lenses i just got that 70-300 mm for my rebel xt and it works fabulous, not the best light grabing skills but its a good lense when you have light  ;D

I have the first one (the Sigma). Maybe it's me but I'm a tad disappointed with it. Not bad for the price though. Have a look round as you should be able to get it for less than

I'd be interested to know what various members use as lenses for airshows, as this is the first SLR Ive ever owned and dont know that much about the quality of different lenses :)

since your a beginner avoid the sigma 300mm with macro.
Unless your really lucky with perfect weather, or know what your doing, you wont get the results you want. Trust me. I'm still unable to use mine to its full ability and i've had mine for over 2 years.
