I did!!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: flying is better than sex.
;D

When my dad was in the navy, he got a ride in the back of an F-4. He says it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on. ;D

Oh, yes. I know a guy  who  paid as much for 15 minutes with a very friendly lady he met at a bar in Las Vegas... and her fee isn't tax-deductible!! ;) ;D

No... they changed that stop to Trenton (unless you have the inside scoop?):

If I didn't have to work today, I'd go down there just to take more pictures and thank everybody again. Maybe I'd show up with a fake moustache, straw boater and bamboo cane, and help them hustle rides...

Sean, What fun it has been to read all about your flight, the thrill and emotions that it has stirred up. First I would like to say, I liked the hair, wish I could do that, I'm bald. Second, seeing how thrilled and excited you were on the B-17, I would like to share a story with you. While in Oshkosh this year, we sent my 78 year old dad up on Aluminum Overcast, what a thrill for me just to see his face. As far as memories and emotions, he was sent to Germany in 1945, he was stationed there for two years after the war. The B-17 was the ultimate Aircraft when he was a young kid, and his older brother was killed in a B-24 over Ploesti in 1944, so I can only imagine what was going through head. Its almost 2 months later, I saw him last night, and he is still carrying around the pictures he took. Seeing how excited you were, I thought you would really appreciate  what it was like for him.

Your right!!  City of Philadelphia pulled the permit they issued for them to be there.  Screwed them over big time.  Ronson at TTN picked up the slack with no problems.  That's where the Collings Foundations planes will be next week.

I highly recommend it, even for us non-rich pilots who weigh every major expenditure against flight time.
Will it make you a better pilot? Let me put it this way: does a man of the cloth benefit from a holy pilgrimage, even though the money involved might be put to more practical use?
;D

Maybe the video will cinch it for you...I should have it posted within a week or so. But take a look at YouTube right now; there are already clips posted by others who've taken a ride.

Yeah..  ..  I always tell myself, "If you start worrying about how much flying costs, you can't afford it".. And I've got a CFII checkride that I want to get done before winter sets in.  AND.. I've kinda commited myself to 20 hours (bought in block for a 10% discount) in a Seneca, for multi-engine work.

(that's a $7,000 paragraph)

It's gonna be tough. I know where it'll be parked and I'll walk right by it, several times. I'll probably end up doing it.   :)

i was gonna say, being as i work at PNE, i figured someone would have said something to my FBO (Atlantic) and i would have heard something about it, being the 3rd shift supervisor....i havent even heard that it MIGHT be coming to pne. thats a shame too, because my digicam is fully charged, and plenty of room on the 256mb memory card. cant really make it to TTN, either, sadly, so if any of ya's go, get some pics of her for me.

also, rotty. awesome shots. its a shame photos cant capture the smell of the plane, eh? iwent on a wlk-through tour of her a few years ago, and still remember the smell of (at the time) 40 years of history, coffee, etc. thanks for bringin back the memories of my little bit of excitement.
