After my delay in Dallas I reached LA with not much time to spare.  It really is a sad excuse for an airport :-/  I got to Tom Bradley terminal to find a huge mass of people.  Could barely find what group was the line for Malaysia Airlines.  Took nearly an hour just to check in.  Then security was just insane.  Such a royal pita and the staff are just SO friendly and curtious >:(  I've seen cattle treated better :-/  I finaly made it to gate 102, then they decided to change it.  Now my flight departed from 122 which as you can guess is a rather long walk.

Malaysia claims to have a lot of leg room and great service...well on this flight that was nothing short of a joke.  I swear there was less leg room on this 747 then the little ERJ out of FWA.  My knees were crammed in the seat in front of me >:(  Made for a very long 14 hours.  Plus the 1 meal wasnt that great on this flight either.

My window was a little scratched up but nothing I could do to avoid them in my shots.

Sunrise after many hours over a dark Pacific.

LAND!!!  I was amazed how large the 747s flaps really are.  They seem to go on forever when fully extended :o

Lower and lower into a hazy Taiwan morning.  From what I could tell durring my trip...that is about the closest thing to "out in the country" there is.

Touchdown and full reverse.

Great view as we taxi in 8)

Almost to our gate.  Many tails out there and the nose of a Thai A330 off the wingtip.

This was my first ride on 747.  Such a long takeoff run, thought we would never liftoff  :o

I will post more shots tomorrow...it is late and I need to sleep ;)

Ah yes, that unmistakable 747 wing... flaps upon flaps... ;D

I'll bet it was worth the hassle, to get so far from the usual scenery! :)

It was more then worth it ;)  I got that long overdue vacation, got to see places most people probably never will, got to spend plenty of time with that girl who i love so much   8)  It was just all and all more then I could ever ask for.  But with that said I dont have any plans to make another trip like that for quite some time :P

The last week I was there we went on a trip to the other side of the island.  Some of the places up in the mountains are just so beautiful.  One night was spent in a hotel up high enough we were in the clouds 8)  Funny though...the temp felt great to me, the rest of them were all bundled up and freezing ::)  Guess thats one plus side to living here in Indiana...you are used to the different weather conditions.

Anyways...The mountain trip is the next 2 parts.  But I will be posting them tonight ;)  Should have been at work 1/2 hour ago :-X
