Blue Angels in Seattle part 2 of 2

Postby Boss_BlueAngels » Fri Aug 18, 2006 2:46 am

Alright I lied... these aren't the Blue Angels, they're the Patriots!  And sadly the left wingman ran out of his blue smoke.  :(  And gorgeous Mt. Rainier in the background!

And look at those six breath-taking jets!  I'm very pleased with this one as you can see each pilot very clearly... at least in the hi-res version.

Now that is how Mt. Rainier should be properly framed.

Landing rocks!  That is at about 75mm

And this is at 300mm.  Oh man that sound is incredible as they go overhead!!

Anyway, enjoy!

Seafair in Seattle right? Yep I went too, REALLY LOUD!! But had a great time.
High Flight Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings; Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared

That fourth one, to me as a painter, looks like a bloody painting! LOVELY SHOTS!

You did a whole lot better with the BAs than I did... I have lens envy.
Excellent shots!

Goit my fingers crossed for the AC show... could be tricky for me on a weekday (why the hell do they do it on a Wednesday?).

thats cool, the Patriots are based over at my local airfield in Ca, we get to see them practice occasionally.  Those L-39s are quiet for jets though, I was washing a plane when one taxied right buy us...... barely noticed it.

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you liked the photographs.

And as a matter of fact, I am in the very process of uploading my OFFICIAL photo gallery!

And after I check to see if it works I will add a hi-res gallery.
