Thunderstorm!!

Postby lilley91 » Sat Jul 22, 2006 2:05 pm

the major thunderstorm finally hit today, and my god was it huge!!!!

we had one fork come down, im not sure if it grounded, but i came very low righ infront of the house, not 20 or 30 yards away, and then 5 or 6 more fork s in the common about 200-300 yards away!! it was scary as h$ll when it came down infront of the house!!

well, i didnt manage to get any pictures of the lightning, but i got some nice ones of the water that built up infront and around my house.

the waterlogged area at the front, and this wasnt even a third of the way throught the storm, it was much much worse at the end!!!

showing the true effect of the rainfall!, i do like this picture, and there is a better version of the same type of picture further down

the water effect on the lid of the paper recycling box

some more water effects, shame half of it is out of focus

my new favourite picture ever!! i love it, could be a bit more in focus in parts, but im not exactly experienced, so im happy with it!

hope you like them!!

all coments welcome

Still avoiding the thunderstorms here in Bristol -won't last though. I can just tell. We're due an absolute downpour.

Thunderstorm was massive here to, it got so dark all the street lights etc came on...and huge claps of thunder that shook the house! Then i heard another huge roar and went to look out the window, and the Red Arrows cruised by! Pretty brave flying in that weather :o
