Flying Yesterday

I took my dad up for a flight yesterday, and decided it was a good time to try out my new camera.  I really wanted to get some shots of the approach and landing, but unfortunately, my batteries ran out about half-way through the flight.  Here's what I did get though...

Me, pre-flighting ol' '77E...


A cool quarry near my house, it's full of the bluest (most blue, whatever ) water I've seen...


The clouds were starting to build, and we were right on the edge of them, so I decided to pop up above them.  So here we're about ten miles from the clouds, up at 6,500 feet (5,500 AGL), and just at the cloud-tops, it was really neat, and only the second time I had been above the clouds (while I was flying)...


And some random house/farm in a valley I took a picture of while on the way back to the airport...
