........I guess bite the bullet and pay top dollar for one of Kodak's batteries (the cells are proprietary to the camera).

Don't jump too fast if you're looking for batteries for your camera.......I have proprietary batteries too, and when I looked into getting my back-up sets, I went on ebay.

Don't jump too fast if you're looking for batteries for your camera.......I have proprietary batteries too, and when I looked into getting my back-up sets, I went on ebay.   I've never used it before but for the price difference, I decided to take a chance. (Where I live here in town Olympus OEM was $100 - non OEM was around $50)
On ebay I found two deals - one was two batteries, and one was for one battery and a two input charger(car or home).......total price I paid after shipping and exchange .....$46 Cdn
.......I may use ebay again  8)

.......oh yeah, both came from California up the coast to Vancouver Island......

I feel comfortable going out to shoot now with four batteries in total and two compact flash cards (512mb and 2gig) I can borrow Wendys extra xD card when I need more  :-X

Wow, good advice; I will consider this for the next show... which is next weekend- yipe!
Yes, I'll never buy a cheapie replacement battery at a photo shop again... ;D
