More from last weekend 2

Postby Hagar » Sat May 06, 2006 4:36 am

A selection of take off & landing shots. Probably what I'm best at & all good practice. Some of the many different types on display over the weekend.

The registration seems appropriate as many pilots here will be flying on the NPPL. ;)

A few familiar shapes there and one or two I've NEVER seen before. Fantastic snaps Doug, thanks ;)

Wide variety of shapes and colours there Doug! Great eye for registrations btw!

I kinda like those Skyrangers, but what in heavens name is that Black G-SDOI? Looks like a cross-over between the blue-thunder helicopter and an ultralight...  :)

It looks like General Aviation and Grass Roots Flying is very much still alive over there Doug. :)

It would seem here in the "Colony" we have to keep fighting the "Insurance Companies" and the "Federal, Provincial and Municipal" Governments all the time.

A large country like ours "Canada" with so much to offer we find our sky's are getting ever so much smaller.
It is not only from "911" either, but the Insurance Companies seem to have a lot more to say than they should.

Glad to see they the "Insurance Companies" are now starting to pick on "Boaters and Recreational Vehicle Owners of all types" and not only "General Aviation" folks.

Again wonderful shots ;).

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Engines: 1  - 1 x ROTAX 912 ULS What would we do without those amazing Rotax engines? :o

They manage despite all that Doug. It gets more difficult & more expensive every day. The main problem here seems to be the EU regulations (insurance) closely followed by the moaning Minnies & property developers who want to close all the airfields & cover them with little boxes. ::)

Little Boxes
by Malvina Reynolds

Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes made of tickytacky
Little boxes on the hillside, little boxes all the same
There's a green one and a pink one and a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same.

And the people in the houses all went to the university
Where they were put in boxes and they came out all the same,
And there's doctors and there's lawyers, and business executives
And they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same.

And they all play on the golf course and drink their martinis dry,
And they all have pretty children and the children go to school
And the children go to summer camp and then to the university
Where they are put in boxes and they come out all the same.

And the boys go into business and marry and raise a family
In boxes made of ticky tacky and they all look just the same.
