Kites

They have wings, but they're not planes, sorry guys.

We went to a Red Kite feeding station over easter in mid Wales, and from the bird hide got a few lovely shots out of a hundred or so blurry ones. Even these 'good ones' are a little out of focus, but they're a damn sight better than they would have been with our old digital camera.

And this one was taken at Attingham Park, we saw him shoot up into a tree, cautiously approached, and snapped this as he headed off. unfortunately it metered the light before it focused, and he went against the trees before i could snap, so it's a little dark and blurry, but I ws pleased to get anything this good. He's a Sparrowhawk, and quite a youngster by the shots we had of him in the tree

Great shots! Nice details and lots of action...

The only bird of prey shots I made recently ( falcon - Falco Tinnunculus) are showing the bird's ass and several blurry ones wich are empty, but the bird was in it a millisecond before.

I tell you, they sense the big eye of my camera!

Lol...  ;D

Ah yes, our total and collective inspiration.........  :o

.....without the birds, would anyone have dared to think that we too, could learn to enjoy our environment the way we do now ?    ???
