I think they're right in saying it's a P-36 Ken... have a look at this photo here and compare it with Jake's photo

It isn't a P-36 - its a fighter type derivative of the Harvard/Texan - and I can't for the life of me remember what its called...

Here we go. It's the NA-50/NA-68, aka the P-64...

Investigation via google will show lots of variations over the years in common with the development of the T-6. The pics I've posted of Harvard Mk 1s in the other thread (and another NA50/P-64) should convince you that it really is an P-64. If I didn't think it was one I wouldn't have posted it! I have a spotters reputation to uphold!
