Almost done, two more after this

SBC-2 (?)  Supposedly the only one of its kind flying

Warhawk again

Bearcat

The spit again

The P-39 again, it was shaking with power

TWO MORE I SWEAR!  One post for just the DC-3, then a few more museum shots

So many beautiful warbirds (especially Spitfires) 8)

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

I have trouble thinking this is a P-36..........   :-[  ???

By the same token, I have no idea what it may be, other than something modified or very rare indeed.... ???

I think they're right in saying it's a P-36 Ken... have a look at this photo here and compare it with Jake's photo :)

It isn't a P-36 - its a fighter type derivative of the Harvard/Texan - and I can't for the life of me remember what its called...

Here we go. It's the NA-50/NA-68, aka the P-64...

Not a Kingfisher... Jake was right (that time), it's a Helldiver. Look here, and note the #32 on the tail:

No center float, different tail, etc.

AMAZING set, BTW, Jake!!!  :o   8)

No question on the Helldiver at all.... ;D

If this LINK is correct, I have trouble agreeing with the P-64 claim.....that cowl and back end are giving me headaches !

Here is another link verifying the cross type numbers which have been associated with the mystery A/C

Investigation via google will show lots of variations over the years in common with the development of the T-6. The pics I've posted of Harvard Mk 1s in the other thread (and another NA50/P-64) should convince you that it really is an P-64. If I didn't think it was one I wouldn't have posted it! ;) ;D I have a spotters reputation to uphold! ;D
