Yes, It was getting ready to taxi out to take a group up.

wow what i wouldn't give (within reason) for a flight in a B-17, and by the way the it looks like the Cherokee's (pa28-180) door is open or unlatched

Plenty of people taxi with the door(s) unlatched, it helps keep the cabin cool when there isn't much airflow through the vents.  Matter of fact, I do it myself.

  Well I posted pictures of the B-17 and B-24 back in August but,  I can post some I didn't at that time of both.  I have tons of shots from inside and outside.
