As we got on the ramp for the Brooklyn bridge, I laughed aloud to see an ancient Nash Rambler- a wagon- with California plates(!!)- pass us:
A look at this wonderful old bridge, the first steel-cable suspension bridge in the world (1883). Still lookin' good and workin' hard:
Some new/refurbished ironwork below, seen as we roll off the other end and loop back onto the FDR Drive::
Interesting old facade tucked under an arch below the bridge; not sure what went on in there back in the day.
