SimV exclusive: first-ever photos of a Rottydaddy approach!! What a thrill for me- I can never get a decent shot of this on my own.
Here we've established final; not too bad considering the stiff crosswind. Didn't seem like my final was so long at the time, but whatever: it worked out fine, right on the desired glideslope.
Thumpety bump, a little this, a little that, and we clear the boundary looking good, if a little off-center. Eh- there's plenty of room. I floated a bit, putting her down firmly between the numbers and the intersecting (no longer used) runway, if I remember right.
Note the line-up for the active... very busy there that day.
Didn't want to carry enough flap to make that middle taxiway without burning up the brakes, so we make our way back the long way., after rolling it to the last one.
The Connie can be seen in the distance, nestled against the building.
