Traffic from the window

Postby 61_OTU » Tue Jan 24, 2006 4:20 am

Ok, so a couple of these were not taken from the window, but following the earlier thread of what aircraft we can see from the window of our room/home/office here are a few small samples

Lots of these, usually while walking the dog

Plenty of these, thanks to the local flying school

Lots and lots of these, in singles, pairs, threes etc etc etc.....Single Squirrel courtesy of DHFS Shawbury

Similarly, quite a few of these, the Griffon

Image

Occasionally we get to see these, just a quick shot as it went over the house,

And yesterday, a real treat, look what was prowling around.......

Nice. Just the other day I missed a fantastic shot of a Virgin 747 leaving KEWR- they were banking early after takeoff and flew right over me. But I was already carrying too much- didn't bring the camera.

It is indeed. Great for chopper enthusiasts Medevac! Sometimes all you need is "Ride of the Valkyrie" in the background and you'd be searching for your surfboard!

Nice, I've seen the odd WAH 64 over here but not for some time now. We used to get a lot of Army choppers over but these days it's just that stupid Police thing that hovers over the street at 2am. >:( The Virgin A340 often comes to East Mids for touch and go landings.

I personally see nothing but!

Oh for some variety.

Ohh, saw the SAR Seaking today. That was a nice change. :)
