Here's some of the usual poor-quality snaps to share...
The other 152: wanted to try this one out. I've heard the engine is "stronger" than that of "Casper"; we'll see.
A shaky (sorry) snap of the panel... discovered after startup that the displays on the radios are nearly impossible to see... didn't realize of course until later that there is a dimmer. I wonder if it works...?
Hmmm... I think Peg (the Wonder-Rotty!) would fit very nicely back there... got to get Marco or somebody to fly this thing for me while I take her for a ride. If she's OK with it, maybe we'll go on a few trips later, just the two of us.
As soon as I start moving towards the pump (2 gals. one tank; 5 in the other... thanks a lot...), the airport suddenly comes alive. By the time I get my fuel, my plan to head over to Pennridge for some landings is out the window, if I do a circuit here first to get a proper feel for 7QJ... I decide the practice circuit is important; I'll just go halfway on my planned course and do some maneuvers, then do a few more landings here.
More waiting... but it's cool; I haven't even done the run-up yet.
At last...! 7QJ is indeed pretty strong; nearly 1000fpm at 70 KIAS. There's a horrible hissing in my headset- eventually I figure out that it's the nav radio: I had it on and didn't even know it. I take it around once, and find it's a little more enjoyable than the other 152; make a pretty good landing, then taxi around for another takeoff. I level off at 2500 and head west to horse around a little...
