First of all here is a link to the first set taken back in October. To bad todays weather wasn't like that beautiful day
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/ ... 1129679927There are a few changes though. Its accualy only a 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom. What we thought was a small bedroom is really a study
Tried to keep them somewhat in order as to then and now
Here is the front. Only a few things have changed. Some of that main roof was replaced about 2 weeks after the first shots. That nice day gave way to colder weather and the shingles never got a chance to seel well. A lovely storm with winds gusting to 70+ mph and hail hit the area. That roof was nearly ripped completely apart. One area even lost part of the plywood
Theres still a few shingles laying in the mud but the back yard is where the real disaster still lies.Side looking pretty good now. By the time that storm had hit all the windows and doors were in and we had quite a bit of the vinyl siding done. This side took quite a beating...lost part of the siding, the upstairs and bottom left windows were blown out. That bloody storm left us a huge mess to clean up. Unfortunatly the weather only gave us a couple of pleasent days to work in :-/
No longer do we walk into that bare skeleton. Now all the wires, heating, and most of the plumbing has been ran. Almost half the drywall is hung and things are moving along smoothly now. I was one of the 2 people who ran nearly all of the wire...and let me tell you these people are obsesed with outlets and switches. Its going to take forever to accualy connect them all. The master bedroom alone has 10 outlets, 5 switches, and a couple of other misc cables.
A view of the back from the same place only from ground level. There will be shutters on all the windows, but the cold moved us inside before we could get them up.
Living room. Youll have to excuse the mess. We arent exactly the most organized of people right now. Especialy since we dragged stuff in to save those many trips out into the 2-3

The wiring will be quite fun to connect. There is a lot of 3 ways and other confusing switches. Only thing I hate is only 2 of us know how to hook them up so we will be stuck with the job
I really dont look forward to it, theres just so many
So its quite an interesting situation. There is litteraly a waiting list of about 5-6 years of people wanting their house built by the school. Considering with no labor cost they are saving like 25-30 grand, i would gladly wait a couple extra years ;) There is accualy 2 classes and 2 houses being built, and if they could find another teacher there would probably be 3 since there is so many people interested. I got the chance to see the other house a few weeks ago. It is about 1/2 the size as this one and doesnt have a basement or 2nd floor. But that class also has about an hours worth of driving every day to get there. So we have about twice the work time
