A Mustang I forgot!

Postby F3Hadlow » Sun Jan 15, 2006 3:42 pm

I forgot until just now that I photographed the P51 'Old Crow' at Leuchars Airshow last year. These are the only shots I got that were any good and there not that good thanks to the terrible weather but I thought you guys might like to see them anyway (since I forgot them in the Mustang thread)...

During last summer, it was stationed a few miles from where I live. It came over my house very low and loud everytime it went to an airshow. When he stayed in Belgium over the weekend, I could see him practicing it's display every sunday. The pilot was Frederick Vormezele...lucky boy.

Thanks everyone, just wish the weather had been better :)

The Scandinavian Historic Flight also brought the Invader with them that day and what a totally AWESOME display that was!

I forgot to mention, the pilot also owns a Stearman and some kind of german WWII aircraft, but I forgot the name. It's now standing in a shelter at EBBT. I think his father crashed with it...not sure if it's still airworthy.
