As short as the runway is at Courtenay Airpark, we can still get a few heavier a/c in here........witness the Cessna Caravan on amphib floats, just recently.....

From time to time, we do get to enjoy more than just the avg GA A/C..........

A float plane is a must have for everyone I think :)


...but your floats must also be fitted with wheels for the occasion when you have insufficient Avgas in your tanks to reach the nearest pond... ;)... ;D...!

Out here Paul ?.....really now, it's more like, ..."where can I find a patch of green to set down on "... with all the lakes and ocean 'round here.........hence the high numbers of float planes on the west coast ......... 8)
