I'm surprised I managed to get them on some shots as my camera has a dreaded delay before capture so you have to guess where the subject will be 3 seconds after you press the button, a bit like deflection shots!

Tell me about it. This is the problem with most digital cameras except for a proper DSLR. All I can say is that you get used to it with practice. Lots of practice. ::) ;)

I've never managed that well wit  my mju 300, top work igs

The shots on the pentax I borrowed came out rather well however, coming soon......

Just think of it like shooting with a rifle (or any other projectile weapon for that matter), you have to lead your target ;)
