Moon Shot

Postby Hai Perso Coyone? » Sat Sep 24, 2005 8:31 am

Seeing as Ben posted a shot of the moon over his house, I decided to snap one of my own. I caught I tiny surprise in it...an aircraft....pic was taken from the houses balcony with a 4 Mega Pixel Canon....at full digital zoom....even I was surprised at the quality. I had to make it all uneven because the rest was just plain duskish sky....hope you enjoy!!

Cheers all,
Ashar

PS: Master Planespotter's right to the one who can identify the aircraft...
PPS: Bragging rights to the one who can identify the airline ;)

gotta be an MD-80 or Fokker 100, becuase of the elevators, they're on the top of the tail, which must mean the engines are at the tail. as for airline, hmm, united, MABYE american. or spirit, although the colors are dark.

Beautiful shot!

I don't think so, Ramos. That thing sticking out of the tail is part of the left wing. Parallel to that is the horizontal stabilizer. Plus if you look towards the bottom of the aircraft by the bright spot (probably a nav light) you can see a rounded object, most likely an engine. ;)

Besides, I don't think an US regional jet would be mulling about in Italy. ::) ;D

Spectacular shot! Its a shame you were stuck with sub-par equipment. Now if you had a D-SLR (maybe a Canon 8MP) with a supertelephoto lens, then that'd be publication-worthy.

In fact, it is publication-worthy right now. :o
